Rimrock Banff, Emblems Collection

My review got deleted from over two years ago because I’m no longer affiliated with the university. But I am taking the effort to comment again as the staff were extraordinarily prepared when my husband had a mental health crisis, where he had a very daunting panic attack. The staff were very supportive, response and knowledgeable on how to manage my husband’s mental and physical state. I always have them in my thoughts many times within a year cause I hold so much gratitude for how much they’ve done for us. When there was another unrelated medical emergency from another guest (she had an allergic reaction to the pool chlorine) the staff acted fast and in good faith.

We stayed at the Rimrock Resort Hotel as part of a Rocky Mountaineer tour. The property was spectacular, the room was spacious and had a great view. The serene surroundings and quiet atmosphere more than offset the minor inconvenience of being located outside of downtown Banff. The shuttle busses ran regularly and were a convenient way to get into town and back to the Resort.

This review is grossly overdue and the restaurant and staff deserve better. I came in the April and still tell everyone about it when I hear anyone interested in visiting Banff. Fine dining review here - I did not stay at the hotel itself. The restaurant ambiance and the food are incredible. Definitely a culinary experience and worth every penny. The view is breathtaking and makes any dinner or date night or special occasion even that more memorable. But the piece that is generally sorely missing in most places of late is service and the evening was made that much better by the impeccable, attentive and perfectly executed service of Robert, Gustavo and Matt. They were professional, engaging and super knowledgeable. Add a healthy dose of friendliness and well timed humor and the three gentlemen provided the trifecta of best in class service. Rimrock plus these three make it a 10/10 experience for me and I highly recommend this place if you’re visiting and want a one of a kind culinary experience.

Our 32nd anniversary stay at the Rimrock Hotel was wonderful. Even though they were undergoing construction, they still tried to make our stay pleasant. They upgraded our room with a beautiful view. We had a view of the majestic mountains with a river running through them. It was exquisite. We even looked out the window, at dusk, one evening and saw a herd of elk walking on a hiking trail just below our room window. The room was super clean and had a lot of room. I loved the extra chairs by the window with a little table. I appreciated the in room safe and refrigerator. I also appreciated having snacks in our room rather than searching for a vending machine. However, the price for those snacks was way too high. I don't think you need to pay for convenience when you are staying at an expensive hotel. We also appreciated the free shuttle to downtown. It made it easier for us to enjoy the city.

"Before immigrating to Canada, I saw so many beautiful photos and thought the whole country looked like that. After visiting Banff, I realized, 'Oh wait, that was just Banff!' It is truly stunning. We stayed at the Rimrock Resort Hotel, and it was such a chic and nice hotel with great amenities. We had an amazing time there. Definitely try it—you won't regret it!"

Under renovation—but well managed because we were never impacted by it. The service was great, and breakfast truly stellar. I give it 3 stars for location because it’s not a walkable location if you want to wander the streets of Banff, like we did. There’s a shuttle but it’s pretty full and not as frequent as we would have liked.

Loved the view from our window. Also, they upgraded us at no charge to a large suite, which was great! Also enjoyed easy access to the shuttle bus which allowed us to visit downtown Banff.

The room we had is really nice and has a great view. Halls and room is a bit dated but is clean and there are staffs that always clean up the room. Hotel staffs are also nice and very accommodating. And our stay is pretty smooth and easy as the hotel is very accessible within banff area.
